The University of Salford is a warm and welcoming place to live and learn. We pride ourselves on our state-of-the-art learning facilities, modern student spaces and award-winning academics.
We’ve built relationships with organisations of all sizes and across all industry sectors to bring you opportunities to gain authentic and meaningful experiences, which will help give you the edge in a competitive job market after graduating. We use our links with industry to give you hands on experience and shape the curriculum
Most of our courses offer work placement opportunities, or the chance to work on live briefs to deliver solutions for real clients. Some courses also offer students a year in industry, meaning you can work full-time, be paid for your work and won’t have to pay tuition fees for that year.
Life at university isn’t just about studying, it’s also about the experiences you create beyond a textbook or lecture hall. Explore all the campus has to offer, from joining one of our many clubs and societies to taking part in a gym class at our sports centre or meet up with friends at one of many social and communal areas – including Atmosphere bar and café, a central student hotspot.
Being on campus in Salford also means you’re just a stones-throw from Manchester city centre, where you can explore the independent shops, eateries and bars of the Northern Quarter, or head to Market Street to find all your favourite high-street fashion brands. Discover the city’s buzzing nightlife at Deansgate and Castlefield Locks or expand your learning at one of the city’s many museums and galleries.
By studying with us you’ll be joining a community of around 100,000 students across Greater Manchester, one of the most vibrant and diverse regions in the UK, with people from all walks of life across the globe coming here to live and study.
