The Growth Company Education & Skills is one of the largest providers of work-based learning for young people and adults. We have been providing high-quality education and skills to individuals and businesses for over 30 years, and as an Ofsted Grade 2: Good provider you can be assured the quality of our training and excellent support can help you achieve your future goals. We’ve supported thousands of young people who want to kick-start their careers, and adults who want to raise their skill level throughout their working life and achieve their full potential.
We are a not-for-profit company - this means we focus on getting better at what we do and invest all of our energy and resources into improving the quality of our training and your learning experience.
We offer a huge range of apprenticeships, traineeships and courses for people throughout their working lives. As well as practically based training, we also offer a wide range of classroom-based courses designed to cater for all levels and all ages. Our apprenticeships are designed with progression in mind so you can move on to advanced apprenticeships and higher apprenticeships and, in some occupations, on to higher education.
Apprenticeships
We have a wide range of apprenticeships on offer – including business, accounting, engineering, construction, automotive and care and education plus much more. We’ve also recently added some exciting new apprenticeships including Bricklaying and Fenestration (glass-fitting), so sign up today!
Greater Manchester SkillCentre
The Greater Manchester SkillCentre delivers an exciting range of training and skills development courses for young people and adults in Apprenticeships in the construction sector. Situated in Trafford Park, the centre provides 50,000 square feet of specially -designed and purpose-built practical workshops, training bays and classroom facilities. The centre is kitted out with the latest in technology and machinery so that you learn in situations that reflect what is happening in the real world of work beyond the classroom. All of the centre's tutors are industry-experienced and fully-qualified trainers. We use flexible models of delivery with the capacity to turn around 250 learners every day. We work closely with local employers who are keen to ensure we deliver training that meets the needs of their industry and we have made great steps into the development of renewable energy and green technologies provision We have been providing high-quality education and skills to individuals and businesses for over 30 years, and as an Ofsted Grade 2: Good provider you can be assured the quality of our training and excellent support can help you achieve your future goals. We provide apprenticeships, traineeships, courses, higher education degrees and adult courses.
Pre-apprenticeship Study Programmes
If you’re not quite ready for an apprenticeship, a pre-apprenticeship is the ideal stepping stone. It’ll get you up-to-speed on the skills employers want to see and give you an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the area you want to work in.
Higher Education
GC Education & Skills offer a range of affordable part-time and full-time courses. We have smaller class sizes so every student gets the support they deserve. No matter what qualifications you have, you still have the opportunity to gain a degree level qualification with us. We are proud to be an Academic Centre of the University of Bolton. New Talent Show
GC Education & Skills are proud to sponsor Unity Radio’s weekly New Talent Show hosted by learners who have graduated from the New Talent Academy. The shows will offer guidance about local employment, training and education opportunities for young people across Greater Manchester. Tune into monthly shows that will run until March 2023.
