Manchester Metropolitan University is a great, modern University, firmly established in the city with roots in higher education that date back to 1824.

Whether you are a new or a returning student, life can sometimes be challenging and as a University we offer a wide range of support services.  For any questions you have about your studies and student life, our Student Hubs will be able to offer great advice or refer you to the relevant specialist support. This may include academic and study skills support to help you achieve your full academic and career potential, or our Wellbeing Advisers who are also members of a larger team including the Counselling and Mental Health Service and the Disability Service. These professionals are here to listen and to help. Finally, you’ll also have access to free sports programmes and classes to boost your physical and mental health and provide a great opportunity to socialise and make friends. Some of these are working in new ways just now, because of COVID-19, but our commitment to helping you has not changed.  

We have been named The Sunday Times University of the Year for Student Retention**. The award recognises the University’s success in supporting students to achieve their ambition and successfully completing their studies through to graduation.
